Tiny Dancer

The P had her first dance class last week. She got her dance clothes in the mail from Aunt Lindsey on Tuesday afternoon and was oh so excited. She got two leotards, two pairs of tights, and a skirt. The first dilemma was which one to try on first. Then she informed me that she doesn't need to wear tights with her leotard (apparently saw one of the older girls in the last session of dance who wore a purple leotard without any tights). So, for now, we are going without tights.

She asked everyday if it was time for dance class, and finally on Wednesday afternoon it was time! She put on her leotard, we put her hair in a bun, and we loaded up her new dance bag (thanks Missy and Ava!). We headed over to The Little Gym where she joined about 9 other girls for ballet, tap, creative movement, and gymnastics...all in the course of an hour. One of the most exciting things about the class (besides wearing tap shoes) is that she gets to go in all by herself while Mommy and Daddy wait in the lobby. Luckily there are lots of windows, so we got to watch the whole time. It was super cute and The P did a great job following the teachers instructions. I can't wait to see how she progresses through the course of the class.
Ready to go!
(the bag is almost as big as she is)

tiny little bun

work it!

She did a little pre-class rehearsal on Tuesday when she tried on her leotards.

The question at the end is, "What do you do with leotards?"

And what was the p doing while all of this was going on? You guessed it...

She is learning at a very young age not to try to upstage her sister ;)
