Lots of new things...

Once again, it's been a while since my last post. We have been pretty busy. The P's DaDa and I had a great weekend with her.

On Saturday we took her on her first ride on the Metro (otherwise know as the "choo choo train"). She was in awe of the Metro station and all of the trains that came through. I think we might start hanging out there during our downtime. Then we hopped on a train and rode into DC. We got off in the city and walked around. We walked through the sculpture garden, and then found the carousel on the Mall. The P and DaDa rode the "neigh neighs" while I held her tight to keep her safe. We picked up a soft pretzel snack and then hopped a train back home. The P was definitely exhausted by the end of our trip.

Sunday we woke up early and got ready for the Multiple Sclerosis walk. We ate breakfast at The P's friends Max and Michaela's house and then drove out to Reston to walk 3.5 miles in the rain. It was a little wet and cold, but it was fun. After the walk The P ate her first hamburger (!) and two apples (not even cut up). Then she ran around with her friends Max, Joo-ja (Julia) and Ray-go (Reagan). Once again, she was exhausted by the time we got home for her nap.

Don't worry, the fun didn't end with the weekend. Monday afternoon The P found her bike in the closet and decided she wanted to go for a ride. Helmet and all! It doesn't sound like a big deal, but it kind of it. The P isn't allowed to ride her "helmet bike" without her helmet, and most days she doesn't want to wear the helmet (therefore, we don't ride). However, on Monday she was all about the helmet, so we took the bike for a spin around the block.

That P is a busy little bee.
