It's that time of year....

Daddio is taking over the bloggio today.....

Here is the update on our busy holiday weekend:

Friday night, we went to a nearby church to pick up our Christmas tree. The P and I ran around the trees playing hide and seek before we came back to the first tree we saw. Then we went to Primo's for pizza and greek salad, where The P proceeded to eat more olives and feta than pizza.

Saturday night we went to the local Christmas parade. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Santa was there.....but the real star was Elmo walking with Big Bird down the street. The P and I went out to say Hi (just a real close hi, giving a hi-five was way too scary!). It was cold though, so she quickly hopped back in the cozy stroller (with her baby).

Sunday we woke up early, but still had to scramble to make it to a later mass. After mass, the P's mom was craving a mayonaisse-ey, vinegary sub...so we stopped at a local sub shop and had subs for lunch (I actually had a grinder). We then went home and started decorating our tree:

Hope Mom does a good job decorating the tree....because someone is copying her every move:

After our tree was up and complete, and after the P didn't really nap that well, we went down the street to a neighbor's Christmas party, and then onto the big street lighting ceremony a few blocks away. We figured the street went all out after our Halloween experience there, and when we saw one of the houses using a hydraulic JLG bucket lifter thing to decorate their house. The street lighting was fun:

And then, home for soup and then bed.
