Happy Easter!

What a busy Easter weekend for The P! It started with our very first Easter Egg Hunt after Stroller Strides on Friday. The P and her friends searched for eggs near the playground outside. I am pretty sure she didn't understand the whole concept. She was happy with an egg in each hand. Once she discovered the Teddy Grahams and Hershey Kisses inside she was content! After naptime on Friday BaBa, PaPa, Amy, Farouk, Morrison, and Parker arrived. The P got a basket full of Easter treats from BaBa and PaPa.

Then on Saturday morning, she got another back of treats from Amy and Farouk. We took them all to the Fairlington Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning. Unfortunately, we were about 15 minutes late, so all the eggs had been found before we got there. Luckily, The P didn't really notice. And then everything was even better when he friend 'Little E' shared all of her eggs and goodies. The Easter Bunny was there, and The P showed the family how she just wasn't quite comfortable with him yet. She was happy to stay a couple feet back and wave.

Easter morning we headed out early for church. The P was very good during mass, and then we got home to discover that the Easter Bunny had dropped off a basket and some toys while we were gone! After brunch, we had one more Easter activity...another egg hunt with the neighbors! Over 12 years ago, our next door neighbors started a tradition of an Easter Egg Hunt in our court. This was our first time participating. There were about 8 kids plus The P, who was by far the youngest. The adults hid tons of eggs and then the kids raced around to find them. Finally, The P caught on to the concept of egg hunting. She walked around and filled her basket with about 10 eggs and was happy (and also tired since it was past naptime). The P said night-night to the family and headed off to sleep with chocolate and sugar rushing through her body and dreams of egg hunts and Easter bunnies in her head.
