Making Progress...

The P has been working up the courage to go up and say "Hi" to the Easter Bunny. We have seen the Easter Bunny at the mall after Stroller Strides everyday for the past three days. The P loves to say "Hi, Easter Bunny!" and wave to him from a distance, but she won't get close enough to take a picture. On Monday she stood outside the fenced area and waved, Tuesday she went just inside the fence and waved, today she was almost close enough to touch the Easter Bunny. For a while she stood outside the fence and waved and waved. I went over to her and we walked up a little closer. Then, the Easter Bunny held out an Easter Activity Book. With a little hesitation, we both walked up to him and with trembling legs she reached out and took the book. She was literally shaking, but she did it. It was so cute! That was as close as we got. I tried to get her to touch his hand and give him a high-five, but it just wasn't working. We still have a couple more days until Easter, so we'll see what happens.
