All of my "daughters"!

We had a big weekend! Missy and Ava came over to play on their way down from NJ. The P was sleeping when they got here so Ava had full access to all of her toys. Once she woke up, The P and Ava played with dolls and strollers, opened birthday gifts, ate a snack together on The P's new brithday tray, gave each other kisses, and had a great time.

Later that afternoon, the Phaneuf's (Jennie, Jeff and Sophia) came into town. Sophia joined right in playing with the girls. Then I realized I had my "real" daughter, and my two god-daughters all playing together. How sweet! (Too bad we didn't get a group picture.)

Later, Jeff and I took the girls over to the pool. The P had her first real "big pool" experience of the summer. (The water was finally warm enough for me to go in with her.) She loves jumping in from the side and counting "1-2-3-5-8" before she goes. She went underwater tons of times. She also had a blast splashing around in the baby pool with our neighbor Sydney. I think they were testing each other's limits to see who was the bravest.

On Saturday we all went to the pool again. This time The P's Dada and Jennie got to come too. It was super hot outside and the pool was great! In the afternoon we went to a bbq, came home, threw two hot sweaty kids in the tub and into bed, Nora came over to babysit, and we went to see friends for dinner. It is fun to hang out with everyone before we move out of town. (Please come visit us in Va Beach!)

On Sunday we were on a mission to get the girls tired out so they would take an early nap and wake up in time to go to the 1:30 baseball game. We took them for a walk around the block where they each pushed their own babydoll stroller. Then we stuck them in bed for a nap. It took a while, but eventually they fell asleep. Once they were up and we were organized, we made our way to the game. This entailed driving to the metro and taking two trains to the stadium. It took a little over an hour, but finally we made it (top of the 5th). We found our seats. Luckily they were in the shade because it was blistering hot. The girls munched on snacks for the entire game! We stayed until the end and then slowly made our way home (two trains and back to the car). All in all it was a great weekend!

The P keeps asking, "No 'Phia going?" Translation: "Where is Sophia?"
