I figured it is time for The P to start pulling her own weight around the house, so I gave her a "chore". When I empty the dishwasher I give her the basket of silverware and she puts everything away where it belongs. Seriously! It is like a fun matching game for her, and it gives me a chance to put everything else away in peace. Next thing you know she'll be scrubbing toilets ;)

awesome! that's a great one -- we'll have to try that one, too. emma is in charge of putting on her own shoes and putting them away in the shoes basket, and she also puts her clothes away after I fold them, and she puts daddy's socks on his bed.
