The end of the road...

So, we are home again! But not before a nice last morning in VT, a visit with friends in Massachusetts, and lots and lots of driving.

For our last morning of vacation Adam and The P cheffed up some bacon together. Then The P ate, and ate, and ate...grapefruit, banana, blueberries, bacon, eggs, cheese, bread... The kid really has an appetite in the morning. After breakfast we packed up our bags, waved goodbye to Roger, and started driving south.

On the way home we stopped to visit with the Buchanan's in Longmeadow, MA. We enjoyed catching up with Flannery and Garland and their girls. The P and Eleanor ate lunch together, and then the adults had their lunch and Mary Larkin joined us. The P had so much fun playing with the girls and checking out all of their toys.

We spent a couple hours with them and then got back in the car to drive to NJ. We headed west into the setting sun, and The P had to borrow mommy's shades.

Finally, we made it to NJ in time for The P to have dinner with BaBa and PaPa. The P got to hang out with them for a couple hours this morning, and then we finished the rest of the drive home to VA. We had a great vacation! It was so nice to spend time together as a family. We also enjoyed visiting with friends and meeting everyone else's families. Now we are all exhausted. The P was in bed early, and Max has been sleeping since he got in the house. Goodnight vacation...
