Have I mentioned that it snowed all through the morning and afternoon? It wasn't too bad when we left in the morning, but by the drive home the highway was pretty white. Adam even drove in the right lane and got passed by a cheese-wagon (aka. school bus). Once we got home the whole family took a nice long afternoon nap.
We woke up from our nap, and it was still snowing! We got all of our gear on and headed down the road towards the snowmobile trail to go sledding. We dragged The P along in her sled and she kept hanging her hands out the side to catch the snow, so we had to put DaDa's gloves on her. We had some fun sled runs down a big open hill. Here's our favorite...
After our sledding excursion we dragged The P home in her sled and she was ravenous. While she ate two bowls of soup for dinner, we invited Roger, the owner of The Sugarhouse, over for wine and cheese (did I mention we purchased some cheese at the store?). We spent a couple of hours talking to Roger. He is very interesting and is super involved in the Fairlee community. The P put on a good show, talking and dancing for him. I think he was impressed! Now she is sleeping and we are getting ready for our trip to Montpelier tomorrow to visit with the O'Donnells.
Roger thinks we got about 3 inches of snow today. Here is a picture of The Sugarhouse...
And check out the temperature after breakfast. 12.4...way warmer than yesterday!
(We have a couple of videos to add to the post, but the internet connection is slow tonight. We'll get them up as soon as we can.)
